The application process begins on April 15, 2024, giving candidates ample time to prepare and submit their applications. The last date to complete the online application is May 14, 2024. This deadline also applies to online fee payments. A correction window will be open between May 15 and May 24, 2024, for candidates to make necessary modifications to their applications.

A special period for re-uploading photos and signatures is scheduled from June 15 to June 17, 2024. For those applying for SI positions, the application status will be updated on September 30, 2024. Exam city details for all candidates will be accessible from November 22, 2024. Admit cards will be released four days before the respective exams.

The exam for RPF Constable positions will follow a pre-determined schedule, while the SI examination will take place between December 2 and December 13, 2024.

Application Fees and Payment Details

Candidates are required to pay a nominal fee to complete their application process. The fee varies based on the category. General, OBC, and EWS candidates must pay ₹500, while SC, ST, and PH candidates are charged ₹250. Female candidates from all categories also have a reduced fee of ₹250.

A correction fee of ₹250 is applicable if changes are made to the application. Payment can be made through a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Candidates appearing for the Stage 1 exam are eligible for partial refunds of the application fee as per the guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria and Age Limits

The recruitment drive has specific age criteria. For Constable posts, candidates must be between 18 and 28 years old as of July 1, 2024. For Sub-Inspector posts, the age range is slightly higher, set between 20 and 28 years. Age relaxation is provided according to the rules set by the Railway Protection Force for 2024 recruitment.

Vacancy Details and Required Qualifications

The total number of vacancies for this recruitment is 4,660. The distribution is as follows:

  • Sub-Inspector (SI): There are 452 openings for this position. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Constable: A total of 4,208 posts are available for Constable positions. Applicants must have passed the Class 10th examination from a recognized board.

Physical Standards and Efficiency Test

For Male Candidates:

  • General and OBC candidates must have a minimum height of 165 cm, while SC/ST candidates require 160 cm.

  • Sub-Inspector candidates must finish the same distance in 6 minutes 30 seconds.
  • The long jump requirement is 14 feet for Constables and 12 feet for Sub-Inspectors.
  • High jump standards are set at 4 feet for Constables and 3 feet 9 inches for Sub-Inspectors.

For Female Candidates:

  • General and OBC candidates must have a minimum height of 157 cm, while SC/ST candidates require 152 cm.
  • Constable candidates need to complete an 800-meter run within 3 minutes and 40 seconds.
  • Sub-Inspector candidates must finish the same distance in 4 minutes.
  • Both Constables and Sub-Inspectors must meet the long jump requirement of 9 feet.
  • The high jump standard is 3 feet for all female candidates.
